The Salon Vert is pleased to invite you to the vernissage of artist Qiu Jie on Saturday, May 10th, from 14:00 to 19:00.
Born in Shanghai and now based in Switzerland, Qiu Jie creates a unique body of work that blends traditional Chinese aesthetics with contemporary visual language. His large-format graphite drawings intricately merge elements from Eastern and Western cultures, transforming everyday imagery—such as advertising, product packaging, and magazine covers—into meticulously composed narrative scenes.
As part of the exhibition, Qiu Jie will present a live calligraphy demonstration on May 15th, from 17:00 to 18:30, where you can experience the delicate beauty of his craft firsthand.

Qiu Jie, known for his intricate large-format graphite drawings that blend Eastern and Western visual cultures. Born in Shanghai in 1961, Qiu Jie began his artistic training at the Shanghai Art and Design Academy and later moved to Switzerland to complete his studies at the Geneva University of Art and Design. His early recognition includes prestigious awards such as the Prix de la Société des Arts and the Prix Fédéral des Beaux-Arts.
